Penultimate Monday at The Courtyard Studio

So, early to the shop to do a bit more organising and decision making about furniture to move / take apart pre move to ‘AndyKnillArt Studio’ next Tuesday 31 for opening on Wed. Sept 1st at 10.00 a.m.

Some admin done as well. Today was a much more encouraging day for the number of people in and around the courtyard and visitors to the shop. Chats re art for fun, where people came from fun and a visit from Vanessa an ex teaching colleague from 20 years ago who was having a short break at the seaside. I sold cards, postcards, original postcards and a print which was all very gratifying.

A couple from Croydon who lived just a few houses along the road from where my grandparents had lived in South Croydon, such a small world.

I also took the time to continue with the fisherman’s area on Peveril to the south of the bay, I must decide on a title for this by Wednesday when I take it to the printer. I finished the piece.

Newest original artwork – A3 in size, prints and cards to be ordered

One of the bands at the folk festival used my sketch of them in a story on Instagram which was very touching.

A great compliment to have my drawing shared

As Java was shut today I put the art for fun board out at the entrance to the courtyard – it didn’t actually lead to anyone taking part but I did mention it to several families today and had some good chats about ProMarkers, colour charts and blender use, I will issue it this way now while still at The Courtyard Studio.

Subtle? No.

A good day and Monday 30th will be my last Monday selling at this location.
