Heading into July 2024

So, a new month after one impacted on by latest virus / Covid? That is taking its time to go and lead to only 12 shop days in June.

July will include the school holidays starting and August will also include them.

Art wise I am going to be drawing a variety of original pieces on A6 original postcards, wooden chests and boxes plus adding to my new clothing items to wear for Carnival Week.

Art for Fun becomes a programme event

Biggest event coming up for me will be our inclusion as an official carnival week activity with Art for Fun on offer on 5 days over the week. Collections will be taken for Carnival and a limit of one sheet of A6 paper will be needed to allow maximum number of participants. Anne is booked to help me and we anticipate being busier even than 2023.

I am working on a pair of shorts and a t shirt to wear as part of my work outfits.

Last month I did a commissioned A5 piece for an 80th birthday – combining an REME RSM and golfer. Clients were happy with the product and so was the birthday man.

Commission and increased confidence in including people

Sales this financial year are down on other AndyKnillArt Studio years – I will be monitoring this but Art for Fun is up on previous years so far with the two busiest months to go.

The key spect is that I work around any ill health and just keep enjoying my art time.
