A good day today.
I set up early at the shop including setting up my outside drawing base. The hottest day yet and I had to put on an outfit over my legs to protect them from the sun. This afternoon the shade was very welcome.
I worked on a new hat based loosely around them ‘Jurassic beach’ postcode and it has developed well today.
Jo, from the Seafront Advisors team came to collect her commissioned work box today so I can now share the five drawings.
A number of children today were entranced by the jungle and sealife hats and completed the observation challenge and went away with their postcard prizes. Also sales of a number of cards to new and returning visitors. Lots of chat about the art and also the pens used both inside and outside the shop.
Also today I launched ‘The heart of Swanage’ on Instagram and Facebook – May the promotion and recruitment begin.
I shall be back in the shop on Bank holiday Monday and Tuesday from 10 to 5 again.
